Marshfield Area United Way’s Techquity Program
Wednesday, June 17th, 2026 -- 9:01 AM
Access to technology plays an important role in staying connected, accessing services, and creating opportunities.
Through the Marshfield Area United Way’s Techquity program, they recently distributed 50 laptops to individuals, helping expand access to reliable technology for those who may otherwise face barriers to digital connectivity. The Techquity initiative works to reduce the digital divide by providing laptops and connectivity resources to underserved households.
Access to technology can support a wide range of everyday needs, from communicating with family and friends to paying bills, accessing healthcare, searching for employment, and utilizing online services. By increasing access to these essential tools, the program helps individuals and families stay connected and engaged in an increasingly digital world.
Marshfield Area United Way are proud to partner with United Way of Wisconsin in this effort and grateful for the opportunity to help create greater access, opportunity, and stability for members of our community. They send out a special thank you to Marshfield Medical Center - Neillsville for hosting them.
