The Wisconsin Department of Tourism released 2025 economic impact data showing Clark County tourism generated an economic impact of $64 million, contributing to Wisconsin tourism’s booming year.
That was a 2.3% increase over 2024’s $62 million. Strategic tourism promotion, record visitation and broad visitor spending across seasons and the state, including Clark County, brought in more dollars for Wisconsin and Wisconsinites than ever before.
Across the state, the tourism industry supported more than 183,000 part- and full-time jobs, and locally, tourism supported 330 jobs in Clark County, which was a slight -1.6% over 2024’s 335 jobs.
Statewide, tourism generated a record amount of state and local taxes at more than $1.7 billion, helping offset costs for Wisconsinites. In Clark County, tourism generated $3.2 million in state and local taxes, the same as 2024.
Without the revenue generated by tourism, each Wisconsin household would pay an additional $692 to maintain the current level of government services. Clark County also had $38.5 million in direct visitor spending, a 2.3% increase over 2024’s $37.7 million.
The County also had $8 million in labor income, a .8% increase over 2024’s $7.9 million. Clark County Economic Development Corporation and Tourism Bureau helps promote Clark County and everything the County has to offer.
With yearly, self-guided tours like the Spring Into the Arts Tour, Bloomin’ Greenhouses, and Fall Harvest Moon Tour, they’re great ways to highlight the County’s diverse produce, shops, and other forms of entertainment.
The CCEDC also works hard to highlight Clark County’s natural beauty for each season and the fun that can be had, including Clark County’s 5th season: hunting season!
“We certainly have a wonderful Quality of Life here in Clark County and everyone works hard to show it off and do great promotions to bring visitors and new residents to enjoy it,” said Sheila Nyberg, Executive Director of the CCEDC. “It is always a focus for the CCEDC and Tourism Bureau and all of the fantastic team members in tourism to be creative in marketing and promoting what we have.”
