Young historians represented the Tomah Area School District with pride at the Regional Heritage Fair that was held on May 5th at St. Matthew’s Church.
After being selected to advance from their individual school Heritage Fairs, these outstanding fourth-grade students showcased projects focused on important aspects of Wisconsin history alongside students from Hillsboro, La Farge, Norwalk-Ontario-Wilton, Richland Center, Viroqua, and Sparta.
Students also had the opportunity to learn from guest speaker Neal Genrich, former TASD teacher, who shared fascinating insights about the history of Wisconsin’s fur trade and its impact on our state’s development.
Representing TASD at the Regional Heritage Fair were:
- Camp Douglas – Nadia Davis
- LaGrange – Dalton Allbaugh, Oliver Baker, Eli Harmon
- Lemonweir – Charlie Larson, Emily Rood
- Miller – Jordyn Darge, Aiden Mohr
- Warrens – Hadley Thompson
