State Representative Karen Hurd Honored by Wisconsin Counties Association

State Representative Karen Hurd (R-Withee) has been honored by the Wisconsin Counties Association (WCA) with a “WCA Outstanding Legislator Award” for her work on behalf of county government during the 2025-2026 Legislative Session.

“Representative Hurd is a thoughtful leader on the important issues impacting the voters of the 69th Assembly District,” said WCA President & CEO Mark D. O’Connell.

“As a member of the Joint Committee on Finance, she worked alongside our team on many issues, and we are grateful for her efforts and dedication in the creation and advancement of sensible policies that keep the needs of our citizens and the taxpayers in mind not only in her district, but across Wisconsin.”

The “WCA Outstanding Legislator Award” is presented every two years to a select group of state legislators who have demonstrated exceptional leadership and a strong commitment to Wisconsin counties and the communities they serve.

Recipients of this award have consistently worked to advance policies that support effective county government, strengthen local services, and address the challenges facing residents across the state.
