Thursday, December 24th, 2020 -- 10:01 AM
On Tuesday, front line healthcare workers at Marshfield Medical Center-Neilsville started getting the COVID-19 vaccine.
MMC-Neillsville shared a post on their Facebook page showing their workers getting the vaccine and calling it “a very exciting and hopeful step. They also said it will take time to distribute the vaccine, so they ask you to please continue to wear a mask and practice social distancing. They also took a moment to remind everyone that the COVID-19 vaccines have no long term side effects.
COVID-19 vaccines have been shown to have short-term mild or moderate vaccine reactions that typically last for a day or two and resolve on their own without complication. These side effects indicate that your immune system is responding to the vaccine. These side effects are common with vaccinations.
