One Person Killed After Two-Vehicle Crash in Jackson County

(WEAU Staff, WEAU) One man is dead and a woman is hurt after a two-vehicle crash in Jackson County, according to WEAU staff.

According to the Wisconsin State Patrol, it happened around 10:45 p.m. Monday night in the westbound lanes of I-94 at milepost 129 near Warrens. Investigators believe a 21-year-old woman driving westbound in a 2018 Kia Optima rear-ended a 68-year-old man driving a 2017 GMC Sierra.

The collision caused both drivers to leave the highway and roll several times. The man died at the scene, the woman was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

At this time, no names have been released. The crash remains under investigation by the Wisconsin State Patrol. The large emergency response shutdown the WB lanes of I-94 for nearly 5 hours, but now all lanes are clear.
