Wausau Police Detective Recognized for 15 Years of Service

Congratulations to Wausau Police Detective Sarah Bedish who has reached her 15th year of law enforcement service at the Wausau Police Department, earning 3 service stripes.

Detective Bedish started her career in 2011 as a Patrol Officer. She has additionally worked in Crash Reconstruction, as a member of our Honor Guard and most recently has been working in our Victim Resource Unit. As a Detective in that unit, she works closely to help victims, especially in cases of domestic abuse, sexual assault and human trafficking.

The Wausau Police Department issues a service stripe to officers for every 5 years they serve in law enforcement. It's a symbol of pride and longevity each officer can wear on their long-sleeve uniform shirt.
