Clark County Holding Clean Sweep Event on August 21st

The Clark County Clean Sweep is being held on August 21st.
It will be held at the Owen Highway Department from 9am-11am and the Clark County Fairgrounds in Neillsville from 1pm-3pm. Items that can be brought to the clean sweep include agricultural and household hazardous materials/chemicals, appliances (there is a charge for freon appliances), electronics at no charge, prescription medications, and tires (charge based on weight and size).
Items that cannot be brought to the event include waste motor oil and antifreeze (see automotive garage for collection alternatives), household batteries (such as AA, AAA, D, etc.), propane cylinders, explosives (ammunition and fireworks), infectious and biological waste (medical waste), radioactive materials (smoke alarms), needles, and latex paint (to discard, open the can and allow to dry out and then dispose of in the regular garbage; for larger volumes, dump in another container to increase surface area to dry out).
