Marathon County Public Library Wants to Hear From Teens About Their Summer

Monday, May 18th, 2026 -- 10:01 AM

The library wants to hear from teens about their summer in their own voice.

Young adults ages 12 to 18 are invited to stop by their local Marathon County Public Library location any time after June 1 to pick up a journal page to customize. At the end of summer, once journal pages have been filled with adventures and memories and returned to the library, MCPL will bind entries together to create a complete journal to be read and enjoyed all across the county.

Journal entries should be appropriate and suitable for a general audience and include the author’s first name, creation date, and the library branch that they call home. There are nine MCPL locations in total, and each one will provide blank pages waiting to be filled.

Teens who complete a page as part of our Teen Summer Reading Program should turn in their journal entry by August 31 to receive credit towards the Summer Reading Program challenge.

This event is free and open to teens with no registration required. For more information, call 715-261-7220.
