Semi Fire on I-94 in Jackson County

(WEAU Staff, WEAU) - No injuries are reported after a semi caught on fire on I-94 in Jackson County, according to WEAU staff.

According to Black River Falls Fire and Rescue, on May 12, 2026, at around 9:25 p.m., authorities were called to Interstate 94 Mile Marker 123 East in the Town of Manchester for a semi tractor fire.

While on the way to the scene, dispatch told authorities that the semi tractor was fully engulfed and had started a wildland fire. Hixton Fire & Rescue was requested to the scene along with Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources Fire crews.

Crews arrived on scene and extinguished the fire. According to Black River Falls Fire and Rescue, the fire extended into a trailer that was carrying soup cans. No injuries were reported from the incident.
