The Highground Veterans Memorial’s Education Days Being Held September 29th-October 2nd

The 2026 Education Days at The Highground will be held September 29-October 2.
This year, all students will have the opportunity to visit the “Hidden Voices of the Holocaust” exhibition with age-appropriate presentations offered during the event.
September 29-30:
Fifth grade through middle school students will get a half-day guided tour of The Highground, watch a flag retirement ceremony performed by the Ah Da Wah Gam Chapter of the DAR, and hear the “Hidden Voices of the Holocaust” presentation.
October 1-2:
High school students will experience a full day of unique 30-minute presentations on military history, the countries and people affected by war, displays of cultural importance, and a special presentation by Holocaust scholar Erez Cohen about the heroic story of his grandmother’s role in the Krakow resistance.
Full details will be sent to area schools and placed on The Highground website. Homeschooling families & groups are invited to register. Teachers are welcome to contact Theresa with questions if they would like to coordinate a lesson plan with the presentations that will be offered.
