CHURCH WORKER ALLEGEDLY STOLE FROM CONGREGATION

Investigators say a Chippewa Falls church worker stole more than $30,000 from congregation.Heather Davis was a bookkeeper at Crossroads Church.
Investigators say an internal audit showed thousands of dollars being transferred from the church's account into Davis's personal account. Some of the transfers were labeled "love gifts."
From August of last year until January, more than $32,000 was deposited into her account.
Davis, who was about ready to leave for Italy, was arrested Friday.
