Thorp Choir and Band Students Earn Gold and Silver at State Solo & Ensemble

Saturday, May 2, Thorp Choir and Band students performed in 17 events at State Solo & Ensemble at UW-Eau Claire. 

These students performed a Class A piece at our District Solo & Ensemble Festival at Greenwood High School back in February and earned a rating of 1st, qualifying them to perform at State.

Gold Medal (1st):

• Vocal Solos – Elliot Cox, Preslee Lew, & Makenzie Rosemeyer
• Music Theater Solos - Hailey Ciolkosz, Mackenzie Foster, & Payten Wicks
• Jazz Strings Improvisation Solo - Allison Schultze
• Alto Saxophone Solo - Vivian Brown
• Bass Clarinet Solo - Chaselee Swope

Silver Medal (2nd):

• Vocal Solo – Mackenzie Foster
• Music Theater Solos - Samantha Burish, Elliot Cox, Preslee Lew, & Kaylie Stratton
• TB Musical Theater Duet - Daniel Lechleitner & Asher Owens
• Euphonium Solo - Hailey Ciolkosz
