Street Improvement on North 8th Street in Black River Falls Begin May 11th

Street improvements on a section of North 8th Street in Black River Falls are scheduled to begin on May 11, 2026.

North 8th Street, from W. Adams Street north to the city limits (just north of Westwind Drive), will be reconstructed with new curb and gutter and approximately four inches of new asphalt pavement.

The remainder of N. 8th Street from just north of Westwind Drive to County Hwy A is NOT included in the City project as this section of N. 8th Street falls under the jurisdiction of the Town of Adams.

During construction, this section of North 8th Street will encounter periodic closures and on-street parking will be prohibited. Temporary overnight disruptions to driveway access may occur during street demolition and curb and gutter installation.

Residents are encouraged to plan accordingly. North 8th Street will be closed daily, with occasional overnight closures possible. The public is advised to use alternative routes during this construction project.
