The Tomah Area School District is proud to announce the appointment of Jeff Adams as the next Principal of the Robert Kupper Learning Center, effective July 1.
Adams brings 26 years of experience in education to his new role, along with a diverse background in teaching, leadership, and student support. He has spent the past 13 years serving as an Associate Principal at Tomah High School, following two years as the school’s Student Services Coordinator.
Earlier in his career, Adams taught biology and environmental science at Tomah High School for 10 years and began his teaching career at Platteville High School.
Throughout his career, Adams has been dedicated to supporting student success both academically and socially. His extensive experience in building systems of support and fostering positive school environments makes him well-suited to lead the Robert Kupper Learning Center.
Adams holds an Education Administration (K-12 Licensure #51) degree from the University of Wisconsin–Platteville, a Master of Education in Professional Development from the University of Wisconsin–La Crosse, and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Wisconsin–Platteville.
He also earned his Secondary Teaching Certificate in Biology/Life Sciences from the University of Wisconsin–Stevens Point. Before entering the field of education, Adams served in the Wisconsin Army National Guard and is a veteran of the Gulf War.
His professional experiences also include working as a zookeeper at the Lincoln Children’s Zoo in Nebraska and collaborating with Dr. Jane Goodall to help develop the Jane Goodall Institute’s Roots & Shoots education internship program in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
“I am excited to take on this new role in the Tomah Area School District,” said Adams. “I look forward to working with staff district-wide in creating and improving the district’s MLSS support systems and alternative education programs."
"By building strong relationships between staff and students, we know that will strengthen connections to school, help students engage at every level, foster a healthy educational environment, and allow all students to achieve at high levels.”
The Board believe Adams’ leadership, experience, and commitment to students will continue to strengthen the Robert Kupper Learning Center and support its mission of meeting the diverse needs of all learners.
