Twelve Abbotsford Middle School Math Students Compete in Edgar

Twelve Abbotsford Middle School math students competed at Edgar on Friday, May 1st.

They included Arian C Annabelle A Cristhian S Jonathan SB Eva N, Ha N  Ruby V, William L Kim N Harry D Klay K, and Roberto L They were chosen to compete after finishing in the top 12 of our Abby MS Math Contest.

Students competed without a calculator for four 15 minute tests on Geometry, Fractions/Decimals/Percents, Algebra and Problem Solving. They also competed as a team of four in problem solving with a calculator.

The team made up of Arian, Annabelle, Cristhian and Jonathan took 1st place out of 30 area teams. Individually, Arian took 1st out of 120 students, Jonathan took 6th, Annabelle took 9th, and Cristhian took 11th. Team Abby Red took 1st place out of 30 teams.
