One Person Hurt After Truck vs. Electric Scooter Accident in the City of Stanley

(WEAU Staff, WEAU) One person was hurt Tuesday morning in a crash involving a truck and an electric scooter at an intersection in the city of Stanley, police said.

According to WEAU Staff, the Stanley Police Department said officers were called around 7:24 a.m. May 5, 2026, to a report of a vehicle-versus-scooter crash with injuries at East Maple Street and South Franklin Street.

Police said a man on an electric scooter was traveling westbound on East Maple Street as a truck traveled eastbound and prepared to turn north onto South Franklin Street. Investigators determined the scooter and truck entered the intersection and collided at the front of the truck.

The operator of the electric scooter was hurt and was taken from the scene by ambulance before being airlifted to a local hospital for medical care. The driver of the truck was not reported to be hurt.

The incident is under investigation.
