Wausau Detective Recognized for 10 Years of Service

Congratulations to Wausau Detective Nick Walters on reaching his 10th year of service in law enforcement.

Detective Walters joined us in 2016 as a patrol officer, previously serving in the United States Army. Through his career he has served as a Field Training Officer, member of our Crash Reconstruction Team and as an investigator with the Central WI Narcotics Task Force. He was promoted to Detective in 2022.

The Wausau Police Department issues a service stripe to officers for every 5 years they serve in law enforcement. It's a symbol of pride and longevity each officer can wear on their long-sleeve uniform shirt.
