(Mike Leischner, WSAU) A Central Wisconsin woman will serve prison time for chronic child neglect.
According to Mike Leischner with WSAU, Brittany Hull will serve seven years in prison and four years on extended supervision for limiting the victim’s food and water intake.
Hull reportedly told the victim it was part of a special diet to help the girl deal with “an undiagnosed medical condition,” leading to her becoming dangerously underweight. The girl was hospitalized in 2023. As her health started to turn around, doctors noted that she didn’t show signs of any such condition.
The 33-year-old was facing a sentence of up to 25 years, including up to 15 years in prison. Hull’s partner, Tristian Hull, was also charged in the case. He pleaded guilty to one count of chronic child neglect as part of a plea deal and is currently serving an eight-year prison sentence.
