Wausau Police Officer Recognized for 10 Years of Service

Congratulations to Wausau Police Officer Snow Thao on reaching 10 years of law enforcement service.

Officer Thao previously served as a corrections officer with the Marathon County Sheriff's Office before joining our team as a Patrol Officer in 2016. In addition to that role, Officer Thao has served as a member of our Honor Guard Team, a member of the Sex Assault Response Team, a Tactical Training Officer and a Field Training Officer.

The Wausau Police Department issues a service stripe to officers for every 5 years they serve in law enforcement. It's a symbol of pride and longevity each officer can wear on their long-sleeve uniform shirt.
