Greenwood City Council Approves Switching Insurance

The Greenwood City Council approved switching insurance.

The council approved to switch property insurance providers to League of Wisconsin Municipality Mutual Insurance.  The council also approved the Police Union contract for 2021-2023 as written and approved the purchase of a new garage door for City Shop.

Finally, the council approved the Personnel Committee recommendation to replace Insurance Benefit, section A with, “First of the month following 30 days of employment, the employee will be offered health and dental insurance coverage where a portion of the cost will be paid for by the City.  For a detailed list of benefits, please contact the City Clerk-Treasurer.”

The change also omitted section B.  Lastly the city will raise the yearly single HSA contribution rate to $1,750 and the family HSA contribution to $3,500 to be paid out in increments per check.
