Wednesday, April 29th, 2026 -- 12:00 PM

A Galesville woman arrested for her 4th OWI in the City of Neillsville was sentenced in Clark County Court on Tuesday.

According to a release from the Neillsville Department, on November 7th of last year, a patrol officer with the Neillsville Police Department conducted a traffic stop in the 100 block of Hewett Street for an equipment violation.

As the officer approached the vehicle, the driver exited and ran toward a nearby residence. After a brief foot pursuit, the officer located the driver, identified as Hilary Brantner of Galesville, hiding in some bushes.

When the officer attempted to take Brantner into custody, she resisted by pulling away and refusing to comply with commands. The officer eventually placed her under arrest.

During her court appearance on Tuesday, she was found guilty of, due to a no contest plea, resisting or obstructing an officer and 4th offense operating with a PAC. One charge was dismissed on the court’s own motion and several others were dismissed and read in.

She was given an imposed and stayed sentence of 2 years of probation.
