Thorp Middle School Student County Attends 2026 WASC Conference

On April 19th & 20th, the Thorp Middle School Council students had the opportunity to attend the 2026 WASC Conference in Middleton joining over 800 middle school and high school students from across the state for a weekend of service and fun.

They spent time with shelter cats and dogs and gave back through service projects like decorating animal cones, making tie blankets, and creating goodie bags for new pet adopters, complete with treats, toys, and handwritten notes.

Beyond service work, the event offered plenty of time for fun and socializing. Students enjoyed a dance, a movie, and a variety of games throughout the conference. The conference also featured special guest speakers.

Keynote speaker Nash Kung inspired students with a unique blend of magic and motivational speaking, while Tony Evers made a visit to share words of encouragement and connect with attendees.
