An area lawmaker doesn?t like a budget proposal to close 40 DMV service centers.WQOW-TV reports Rep. Scott Suder (R-Abbotsford) plans to offer an amendment to remove the proposal from the budget.
Doyle says the state will save $750,000 in the next two years by closing DMV locations in Stanley, Neillsville, Abbotsford and elsewhere.
Suder hopes to keep the offices open by taking funds from road projects in southeastern Wisconsin.
