Wood County Holding Agricultural and Household Hazardous Waste Disposal Clean Sweep in May and September

Wood County is holding an Agricultural and Household Hazardous Waste Disposal Clean Sweep Event on two different dates this year.
It will be held on Saturday, May 30th from 8am-Noon at the Marshfield Ag Research Station in Marshfield and Saturday, September 12th from 8am-Noon at the Saratoga Town Hall in Wisconsin Rapids.
This event is free of charge. No mystery cans; everything must be labeled or easily identifiable. Secure container lids and transport materials upright. Some materials may be refused if the waste contract cannot dispose of it or if its costs are excessive.
Items that will be accepted include automotive fluids, batteries, cooking oil, degreasers, drain cleaner, light bulbs, paint (lead or oil based), paint thinners, pesticides, and fertilizers. Items not accepted include ammunition, electronics, explosives, latex paint (dry out and dispose in regular garbage), medical waste (sharps, pharmaceuticals), and pressurized cylinders.
