Marshfield Common Council Holds Reorganizational Meeting; Swears in New Mayor and Returning Alders

The Marshfield Common Council held their reorganizational meeting on Tuesday.

New Mayor Nick Poeschel was sworn in along with returning Council members Mike Feirer, 1st District Alderperson; Natasha Tompkins, 3rd District Alderperson; Scott Koran, 5th District Alderperson; Brian Giles, 7th District Alderperson; and Richard Kranz, 9th District Alderperson.

Mayor Poeschel then appointed council members to the various city committees, commissions, and boards, which were all approved. He then announces the appointed citizens to the various city committees, commission, and boards, but no action was taken and a final vote will be held at the April 28th meeting.

The Council did approve the appointment of a chairperson to the Zoning Board of Appeals. The Council also heard the presentation of candidates for election to a 3-year term on the Ethics Board, but, again, no action was taken and a final vote will be held at the April 28th meeting.

The Council also heard the presentation of candidates for election to vacated aldermanic term on the Marshfield Utilities Commission, but no action was taken and a final vote will be held at the April 28th meeting.

The Council then heard the presentation of candidates for election to two vacated citizen terms on the Marshfield Utilities Commission, but, again, no action was taken and a final vote will be held at the April 28th meeting.
