The Marshfield Area Chamber of Commerce Highlights Leadership Marshfield Program

Friday, April 17th, 2026 -- 10:00 AM

(MACCI Blog Post) When people think about Leadership Marshfield, they often think about professional growth, networking, and developing strong leaders for our community.

But, according to a MACCI blog post, what many don’t realize is that the program’s impact extends far beyond the participants; it lives on in the projects that continue to shape Marshfield for years to come.

A key component of Leadership Marshfield is the group project. Each class is challenged to identify a community need and work collaboratively to create a meaningful solution.

Over the years, these projects have turned into initiatives that many of us now recognize and benefit from regularly, often without knowing where they started. Since Leadership Marshfield began in 1993, 173 community projects have been completed, each one driven by local leaders committed to making a difference.

Programs like Right 2 Play 4 All, Community Bike Share, Downtown Wine Walk, and United We Can all began as Leadership Marshfield projects. These initiatives have grown into lasting resources that enhance quality of life, bring people together, and strengthen our sense of community.

More recent classes have continued this tradition of impact. The 2025 class launched projects such as Clean Start, providing cleaning supply buckets for families transitioning from the PDC; Dance Into Spring, creating inclusive dance opportunities for individuals with special needs; Griese Park Playground Renovation; and a Transportation Pilot Program aimed at improving accessibility.

This year’s class is already making its mark with projects like a new “Welcome to Marshfield” sign on the south end of town, a Community Garage Sale, and the creation of a Leadership Marshfield Alumni group to keep past participants engaged and connected.

Each of these projects reflects the same goal: to make Marshfield a better place to live, work, and grow. Together, they tell a powerful story; Leadership Marshfield isn’t just developing leaders, it’s creating a ripple effect of positive change throughout our community.

The next time you attend an event, visit a park, or benefit from a local initiative, there’s a good chance it started with a group of leaders who simply wanted to make a difference.
