The Neillsville Area Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce the 2026 Neillsville Dairy Breakfast will be held on Sunday, June 14, 2026, at Echowood Holsteins, N6314 County Road G, Neillsville, WI 54456.

Breakfast will be served from 7:00 AM to Noon. This year marks an exciting first as the Chamber welcomes Echowood Holsteins as host of the annual event. Echowood Holsteins has a rich family history rooted in dairy farming.

The operation began in Marshallville, Ohio, in 1971 with Dennis and Cindy Begert, though the family’s dairy farming story in America dates back even further to 1890, after immigrating from Switzerland.

In 1990, Dennis and Cindy moved their family, including their five children, a herd of 60 milk cows, all heifers, and farm machinery, from Ohio to Neillsville, Wisconsin, where they continued building their dairy legacy

Following high school, Brian Begert attended Farm Short Course and launched Begert Hoof Care in 1997. While Dennis and Cindy continued dairy farming, Brian remained actively involved in the farm whenever needed.

In 2014, Brian and his former wife, Kari, purchased the farm, and in 2016, Brian sold the hoof trimming business to focus entirely on dairy farming. Today, the herd has grown to more than 550 registered Holsteins, plus youngstock. The farm is now owned by Brian and his children, Jaron and Abigail, who all play an active role in the operation.

The family enjoys working together on the farm, showing cattle, and helping educate the public through their YouTube channel, Echowood Holsteins, where they share what daily life on a dairy farm really looks like.

Jaron, currently a junior in high school, plans to attend the MSTC Farm Operations Program as a senior. Abigail, now in sixth grade, hopes to become a veterinarian someday. Dennis and Cindy continue to be an important part of the farm’s success.

Cindy stays busy with herd records and helping manage the cows, while Dennis keeps a close eye on the operation and enjoys hauling cattle and running errands. The family also wants to recognize and thank their team of approximately 15 dedicated employees, whose hard work helps make the farm’s continued success possible.

The Neillsville Dairy Breakfast is a beloved annual tradition that celebrates Wisconsin’s dairy industry and offers families and community members a chance to experience life on a working dairy farm while enjoying a delicious breakfast.

The Chamber is thrilled to host this year’s event at Echowood Holsteins and invites the public to join in this special community tradition. For more information about the 2026 Neillsville Dairy Breakfast, please contact the Neillsville Area Chamber of Commerce.
