Wausau Police Department Announces Two Arrests for Drug Charges After Routine Traffic Stop

(Mike Leischner, WSAU) -Wausau Police have announced two arrests after a routine traffic stop led to the discovery of 1.7 pounds of methamphetamine in a vehicle.

According to Mike Leischner with WSAU, officers conducted a routine traffic stop on Monday after observing suspicious activity. K9 Lokey was called in for an exterior sniff of the vehicle and alerted his handlers to possible drugs.

A search turned up 1.72 pounds of meth, $2,000 in cash, a digital scale, and other items associated with drug sales. Officers also found a handgun in the vehicle. Two people, Lamont Allen and Sadie Good, were arrested.

Officers are requesting numerous charges against Allen, including possession of meth with the intent to deliver, felony bail jumping, carrying a concealed weapon, and possession of drug paraphernalia

Good is facing a possible charge for being a party to the crime of possession of meth with the intent to deliver. The investigation remains active. Both Allen and Good are jailed on a $15,000 cash bond; court action against them is pending.
