Marathon County Sheriff’s Department Celebrates Promotion of Two Officers

Please join the Marathon County Sheriff’s Department in congratulating Tyler Brehmer on his promotion from Patrol Deputy to Patrol Lieutenant, effective March 29, 2026.
Deputy Brehmer has served with the Marathon County Sheriff's Office since 2015. During his time here, he has contributed in numerous ways, serving on the SWAT Team, leading the Firearms Training Team, and working as a Recreation Deputy in close partnership with the Marathon County Parks Department.
He has also demonstrated his commitment to his peers and the profession through his service as President of the Marathon County Deputy Sheriff’s Association.
Tyler brings strong leadership qualities, a steady ability to solve problems, and a collaborative approach that strengthens relationships with their partners and enhances the services the Department provides to the community.
They also congratulate Andrew Seubert on his promotion from Patrol Lieutenant to the rank of Patrol Captain, effective March 29, 2026. Captain Seubert has served with the Marathon County Sheriff's Office since 2012 and has spent nearly eight years in the role of Patrol Lieutenant.
Over the course of his career, he has been an integral part of the SWAT Team, Drone Team, and has worked closely with the Crisis Assessment Response Team (CART) and has been a key reason for the success of the program in partnership with the Wausau Police Department.
His efforts have made a positive impact as they work through mental health challenges in the community. Captain Seubert’s extensive experience, leadership, and the relationships he has built within the agency and throughout the community, continue to strengthen operations and contribute to the success of the team.
