Thorp High School Choir Members Perform at UWEC Treble Choir Festival

It has been a very busy honor choir season for some Thorp students.

The latest opportunity for some Thorp singers took place on Tuesday, March 3, when nine Thorp High School Choir members performed as members of the UWEC Treble Choir Festival.

The nominated students were Cassandra Anderson, Keira Corcoran, Donna Eichelt, Peyton Hoehn, Preslee Lew, Kaylie Stratton, Azaria Sutton, Autumn Vetterkind, and Abbie Zaszczurynski.

These students were selected based on their outstanding talent, as well as their involvement in supplemental musical activities, including Solo & Ensemble Festival. The choir was conducted by UWEC choral professor, Dr. Kristie Halverson.

The festival choir rehearsed throughout the day and then gave a performance for friends and family. A highlight of the concert was the opportunity to perform with the UWEC Women's Concert Chorale (aka WoCo).

The combined choirs performed a rousing arrangement of Will the Circle Be Unbroken, complete with body percussion.
