City of Marshfield Reminds Residents that Winter Decorations Must Be Removed From Hillside Cemetery by April 1st

The City of Marshfield is reminding residents that all winter decorations, containers, and other adornments at Hillside Cemetery must be removed by Wednesday, April 1, 2026, as part of the annual spring clean-up process.

Cemetery staff will begin discarding any remaining items starting April 1. Summer decorations may be placed beginning Saturday, April 11, 2026. All decorations must be placed on or in line with headstones, including to the side of the stone, and must not obstruct cemetery maintenance.

Residents are strongly encouraged not to leave items of significant monetary or sentimental value on cemetery grounds. The City cannot guarantee such items will not be lost, stolen, damaged, or removed.
