Local Schools Participating in SkillsUSA State Leadership Conference

The 53rd annual SkillsUSA Wisconsin State Leadership and Skills Conference will be held in Madison, Wis., on Tuesday, April 7 - Wednesday, April 8, 2026.

Competitions will take place at the Alliant Energy Center, 1919 Alliant Energy Center Way, and Madison Area Technical College (MATC), 1701 Wright St. The Opening and Awards ceremonies will take place in the Alliant Energy Center’s Veterans Memorial Coliseum, while the competitions will be held in the Exhibition Hall as well as at MATC.

The 2026 conference will feature more than 1,750 middle, high school, and college/post-secondary students, with business and industry representation from over 100 companies and over 300 volunteers, technical chairs, and judges.

Students from the following schools will compete at the SkillsUSA Wisconsin State Leadership and Skills Conference:

  • Cadott High School, Cadott
  • Colby High School, Colby
  • Lincoln High School-Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin Rapids
  • Marshfield Senior High School, Marshfield
  • Mid-State Technical College, Wisconsin Rapids
  • Pittsville High School, Pittsville

Students will participate in more than 60 competitions. The Opening Ceremony is scheduled for 1 p.m. on April 7, with competition set up and event briefings held throughout the day.

The State Championships will commence on April 8 at 7:30 a.m. and conclude at 4 p.m. All contests are conducted under the direction of industry experts, trade associations, and labor organizations, testing competencies that are set to industry standards.

The Closing Ceremony, including the presentation of awards, will start at 6:30 p.m. The first-place winners will go on to compete in the National SkillsUSA Championships, June 1-5 in Atlanta, Ga.

The public is encouraged to attend the SkillsUSA Wisconsin State Championships at no cost.
