Thorp Students Perform at Dorian Band Festival

Congratulations to Thorp students Madison Gates, Vivian Brown, Hailey Ciolkosz, and Chaselee Swope on their fantastic performances at the Dorian Band Festival at Luther College in Decorah, IA on March 1-2.

Students either auditioned or were nominated, then placed into 1 of four groups including Symphonic Band, Blue Raider Band, Norse Band, and Jazz Band. In two days, these students practiced with 500 other students from Wisconsin and surrounding states, then put on a performance.

Students spent time on campus rehearsing and attending lessons/sectionals. They also had the privilege of attending a wonderful concert put on by Luther College Jazz Orchestra and Concert Band.
