Black River Falls Students Perform at Dorian Band Festival

The Black River Falls Tigers took their talents on the road.

This past Sunday and Monday, ten of their standout musicians headed to Decorah, IA, for the prestigious Dorian Band Festival at Luther College. It was a whirlwind weekend of rehearsals, private lessons, and world-class performances.

Their students represented Black River Falls across three elite ensembles:

• The Symphonic Band (Auditioned)
• 11-12th Grade Massed Band
• 9-12th Grade Massed Band

Between rehearsals, students caught amazing sets by the Luther Jazz and Concert Bands, and two of their students even scored one-on-one private lessons with Luther professors. After a day and a half of intense practice, they capped it all off with an absolutely outstanding final concert.
