Wausau Fire Battalion Chief Retires After 22 Years of Service to the City

Over the past two decades, Wausau Fire Battalion Chief Becker has served the citizens of Wausau with professionalism, leadership, and an unwavering commitment.

Throughout his career he has responded to countless emergencies and mentored numerous younger firefighters. From the fireground to the station kitchen table, Mike has been someone others could count on and always willing to step up when it mattered most.

His leadership as a Battalion Chief has helped guide crews through challenging moments while keeping the mission of service to our community front and center.

Now that he’s reached the end of his career with the Wausau Fire Department, the impact he leaves behind will continue to be felt by the firefighters he worked alongside and the community he served.

They congratulate Battalion Chief Michael Becker on his well-earned retirement and thank him for 22 years of service to the City of Wausau.
