Licorice is the Pet of the Week from the Clark County Humane Society made possible by East Valley Veterinarian Clinic located at 2510 Black River Road just North of Neillsville and east of the Black River. (https://eastvalleyvetclinic.net/)

Name: Licorice

Age: 8-Months-Old

Breed:

Meet Licorice, the CCHS Pet of the Week!  Licorice came to CCHS when found as a stray in the Chili area. Licorice was a pretty sick little kitten when he arrived at the Shelter, being very underweight with a bad upper respiratory infection.

But Licorice received all the treatment needed to make him better, and now he's doing great! He's living in Kitty City at the Shelter and is enjoying sunshine and happiness. Licorice is a bit of a shy boy.

He tends to hide when people come to visit in Kitty City, and that has prevented him from being adopted so far. He will do best in a calm home with a very understanding family willing to give him the space and time he needs to adjust. Licorice is now 8 months old (estimated DOB 6/11/25) and weighs over 5#.

He's handsome with his all black coat and  golden eyes. If you're looking for a special new friend, please consider Licorice and apply to adopt him today! You can submit your adoption application on our website: www.cchs-petshelter.org/applying-to-adopt.

Do you have a love for cats and dogs and have been thinking it would be nice to help out at CCHS? Well, now's your chance! Whether it's a few hours a week, one day a month, or something in between, this is your opportunity to try it out.

We are very much in need of volunteers! You can learn more and sign up on our website: https://www.cchs-petshelter.org/volunteer or email April at [email protected]. Come join our CCHS volunteer family!

You can learn more about, and adopt, Licorice, and all the animals at the shelter, at their website, www.cchs-petshelter.org. You can also apply for adoption in person.
