Sunburst Memorials Announces $50,000 Donation to Endowment Fund of Brooklawn Memory Gardens

Wednesday, March 4th, 2026 -- 8:01 AM

Following its recent acquisition of Marshfield Monument, Sunburst Memorials announced a one-time $50,000 donation to the endowment fund of Brooklawn Memory Gardens, supporting the long-term care and preservation of a place that has served local families for generations.

The contribution reflects Sunburst Memorials’ commitment to investing in the communities it serves and helping ensure spaces of remembrance remain cared for well into the future. The donation is a separate philanthropic commitment focused on long-term community stewardship.

“Memorial work is about more than creating monuments, it’s about honoring lives and supporting the places where families gather to remember,” said Jill Kampa, President, Sunburst Memorials. “As we begin our next chapter in Marshfield, we wanted to make a meaningful contribution that reflects our values and our long-term commitment to the community.”

The donation coincides with the recent transition of Marshfield Monument, a business with more than a century of history and deep local roots. Sunburst Memorials expressed appreciation for the legacy built by Brian Hopperdietzel and the Marshfield team, whose dedication to craftsmanship and personal service helped establish strong relationships throughout the region.

“Brian and the Marshfield Monument team built a business grounded in quality and trust,” said Kampa. “We’re honored to carry that legacy forward while continuing to support the community that has supported them for so many years.”

As part of employee-owned Scipi Companies, Sunburst Memorials continues expanding its regional footprint through thoughtful growth and long-term investment in both people and infrastructure.

The company views community partnerships and stewardship as central to its mission of helping families create meaningful, lasting memorials. The $50,000 contribution will help support ongoing care and future needs at Brooklawn Memory Gardens through its endowment fund, helping preserve the grounds as a place of reflection and remembrance for generations to come.

This announcement follows Sunburst Memorials’ acquisition of Marshfield Monument, completed February 26, 2026, and reflects the company’s continued commitment to honoring legacy while supporting the communities it joins.
