Darla is the Pet of the Week from the Clark County Humane Society made possible by East Valley Veterinarian Clinic located at 2510 Black River Road just North of Neillsville and east of the Black River. (https://eastvalleyvetclinic.net/)

Name: Darla

Age: 1.5-Years-Old

Breed: Red Heeler

Meet Darla, the CCHS Pet of the Week! Darla came to CCHS as a stray from the township of Fremont earlier this January. This pretty Red Heeler is about a year and a half old (estimated Date of Birth 7/8/24) and weighs roughly 36.2# currently.

She is a good-looking girl with her speckled red and white coat. Darla is an absolute ray of awkward sunshine! She is such a smart gal but hasn't quite grasped onto some social skills so she hopes you can look past her being a bit forward with her affection!

But she's ready and willing to learn everything you'd like for her to be a really good dog. Darla would prefer being the only dog in her new home so that she doesn't have to share her food and treats.

With any rescue, training and socialization are incredibly important to the success of the dog. If you're looking to find a happy new best friend, please apply to adopt Darla today! You can submit your adoption application on our website: www.cchs-petshelter.org/applying-to-adopt.

February just got meow-gical at Clark County Humane Society! Love is officially in the air. A wonderful supporter is sponsoring cat adoption fees all month long, so you can swipe right on your purrfect match for an everlasting love without the fee.

We’re incredibly grateful for this special supporter's kindness, and can’t wait for you to meet your furever furry friend. Standard adoption policies and procedures still apply. We have an amazing group of cats and kittens at the Shelter to pick from right now. Warning: falling in love is basically guaranteed!

You can learn more about, and adopt, Darla, and all the animals at the shelter, at their website, www.cchs-petshelter.org. You can also apply for adoption in person.
