Wausau Man Enters Plea for Backing His Vehicle Over Another Man After an Argument

(Mike Leischner, WSAU) A Wausau man has entered a plea for backing his vehicle over another man following an argument at a Weston home.

According to Mike Leischner with WSAU, Damon Mueller is charged with recklessly endangering safety and hit-and-run causing great bodily harm, according to charges filed on June 20th of last year.

Investigators say Mueller and the victim had been arguing outside the home on Ferge Street. Mueller reportedly told investigators he struck the man, then drove off. Tire tracks at the scene and security camera footage from a nearby business pointed to a hit-and-run.

The victim was found struggling to breathe. Doctors diagnosed him with a collapsed lung, internal bleeding, and broken ribs. During his plea hearing on Monday, he was found guilty of, due to a no contest plea, hit and run involve great bodily harm.

Several other charges were dismissed and read in. He’s scheduled for sentencing next week on March 3rd.
