Three Thorp High School Choir Members Perform at UWEC Tenor Bass Festival Choir

On Thursday, February 19, three Thorp High School Choir students performed as members of the UWEC Tenor Bass Festival Choir.

The nominated students were Tripp Ehlert, Triton Kaszubowksi, and Daniel Lechleitner. These students were selected based on their outstanding talent, as well as their involvement in supplemental musical activities, including Solo & Ensemble Festival.

The choir was conducted by Dr. Kevin Kriegel, the Artistic Director of the Madison Chamber Choir. The festival choir rehearsed throughout the day and also had the opportunity to perform with The Singing Statesmen from UWEC.

They sang several songs including Sing Gently by Eric Whitacre, Ad Astra by Jacob Narverud, and Walk A Mile, a jazzy waltz arranged by Mark Hayes. The singers did an incredible job of learning and polishing some challenging music, and putting on a beautiful concert.
