Black River Falls Science Olympiad Team Competes at Regionals

The Black River Falls Science Olympiad team headed to Medford this past Saturday for Regionals and came home with some serious hardware.

The team secured 6th place overall, with several students earning top-tier medals for their scientific expertise and engineering skills.

Medal Highlights:

• 2nd Place: Entomology & Water Quality (Anton Cassidy & Maleki Lee)
• 3rd Place: Astronomy (Andrea Cogswell & Sophie Backus), Experimental Design (Channing Goldsmith, Olivia Heller & Aiden Pillard), Helicopter (Channing Goldsmith & Jacob Gerdes), and Robot Tour (Alyssa Nelson & Tamber Scheurich)
• 4th Place: Disease Detectives (Anna Janowski & Chris Antonelli) and Electric Vehicle (Andrea Cogswell & Tamber Scheurich)

From building helicopters to identifying water quality, these students showed incredible dedication to STEM.
