Tomah Man Sentenced for Aggravated Battery

(WEAU Staff, WEAU) A Tomah man has been sentenced for aggravated battery, according to WEAU staff.
According to Tomah Police, on April 26, 2025, at around 9:15 p.m., Tomah Officers were called to an address on the 800 block of Dogwood Lane for a physical disturbance between two men who live together.
The suspect, Edwin Ross of Tomah, fled before law enforcement got to the address. Tomah police say the victim suffered injuries to his face and a suspected stab wound to his chest.
The victim was treated at the Tomah Health Emergency Department and released. According to Tomah police, on April 27, 2025, Ross was found in Black River Falls by the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office and was taken into custody.
During his court appearance on Friday, Ross pleaded guilty to aggravated battery and disorderly conduct. Another charge was dismissed and read in. He was given a withheld sentence of 5 years of probation, if he successfully completes all terms of his deal, which includes 8 months in the local jail.
