Marshfield Police Department Accepting Applications for Citizens Police Academy

The Marshfield Police Department is now accepting applications for its upcoming Citizens Police Academy, an eight-week program that offers residents a behind-the-scenes look at local law enforcement.

Classes will be held on Wednesday evenings from 6:30 to 9:00 p.m., beginning April 8, 2026, and running through May 27, 2026. The Citizens Police Academy provides participants with a working knowledge of law enforcement operations, including the role of support staff, while strengthening community relationships and encouraging valuable feedback from residents.

This interactive program includes hands-on learning experiences such as:

• Crime scene investigations
• SWAT tactics
• Use-of-force decision-making scenarios
• Police range demonstrations
• K-9 unit demonstrations

Participants gain firsthand insight into how officers train, make decisions, and serve the Marshfield community. Applications are due by April 1, 2026. Completed forms may be mailed, dropped off at the Police Department, or emailed to [email protected].

This is a unique opportunity to learn more about policing in Marshfield and build stronger connections between the department and the community.
