A Marshfield man has been sentenced for causing the death of a woman in the Town of Auburndale.
According to investigators, back in September of 2024, Alec Beach and his girlfriend Nicole Sandoval were arguing along the side of a road in the Town of Auburndale.
Beach then got into a pickup and took off. Sandoval was hanging onto the side of the vehicle with her feet on the running boards. Beach then allegedly swerved as he drove away and Sandoval was thrown from the vehicle and hit the pavement. An autopsy determined she died of blunt-force trauma.
During his court appearance on Monday, he was found guilty of, due to a no contest plea, one count of 2nd degree reckless homicide. He was sentenced to 4 years in prison and 4 years of extended supervision.
