Man Arrested After High Speed Chase in Jackson County

(WEAU Staff, WEAU) A man was arrested after he trespassed on a residence and later led police on a chase, according to WEAU staff.
According to a press release from the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, on February 12 around 8:45 a.m., deputies were dispatched to a residence on Maple Rd. in the Town of Irving on a report of a person who had entered a residence unlawfully. Upon arrival of a deputy, the suspect, identified as 41-year-old Stephan Lee, fled in a passenger vehicle.
A pursuit began with speeds reaching at least 80 mph. The vehicle came to a stop in a driveway where Lee was taken into custody. Lee was booked into the Jackson County Jail for fleeing an officer, resisting arrest and criminal trespass to a dwelling.
