The Highground Veterans Memorial a Host Site for Clark County Spring Into the Arts Tour April 24th & 25th

Friday, February 13th, 2026 -- 2:00 PM

The Highground is thrilled to be a host site for the Clark County Spring into the Arts Tour April 24-25, 2026, from 9am-5pm both days

Several Veteran artists will have booths at the Welcome Center to show and sell their work to the public. Lunch will be available from 11am-1pm. They are inviting military Veteran artists/craftspeople to display and sell their works during this exciting Central Wisconsin event.

The Highground recognizes that the creation of artworks of many forms, including painting, writing and music, can be an important activity to help lessen depression and provide fulfillment in life.

Creative expression has also been shown to be a positive tool in the prevention of suicide, both Veteran and civilian. Also, during that weekend, The Highground will be holding a Whimsical Beaded Suncatcher Workshop.

As part of the 2026 CAMO (Community and Military Outreach) Program and in celebration of Clark County’s Spring into the Arts, participants ages 12 and up are invited to craft vibrant, light‑catching designs using frames, chicken wire and colorful glass beads.

No experience is needed. Step‑by‑step guidance and all supplies are provided. Just bring your imagination and get ready to create something that shimmers in the sunshine.

Those who wish may also have their finished suncatchers displayed during the Spring into the Arts event at The Highground on April 24 and 25, adding a touch of handmade magic to the celebration.

Join them for a joyful, hands‑on experience that welcomes the season with color, creativity, and community.  For details or to reserve your spot, email Bonnie at [email protected] or call 715-743-4224.

As part of The Highground’s mission of Healing and with the support of donors and volunteers, we will continue to host art events and Veterans programs at no charge to Veterans and families who are working their way through PTSD and other mental health issues.

There is no “wrong way” to be an artist and the road to healing might start with one small creative step. For more information on showcasing their art, Veterans are invited to email Theresa at [email protected] or call 715-743-4224.
