Marshfield Medical Center in Marshfield Welcomes New Staff

Marshfield Medical Center in Marshfield welcomes Sophie Westrud, women’s health nurse practitioner, to the obstetrics and gynecology team.

Her goal is to establish relationships to help her patients feel at ease during their care. “I believe in compassionate listening and forming individualized plans for patients to meet their goals,” she said. Westrud supports her patients throughout their health journey.

“I am especially passionate about providing care to adolescents, including birth control counseling and sexual health information,” she said. “I am also honored by the privilege of following a patient from pre-conception counseling to prenatal care and postnatal care.”

They also welcome Morgan Nordbeck, a board-certified physician assistant, who cares for women who are experiencing high-risk pregnancies. Morgan is joining the Obstetrics & Gynecology team at Marshfield Medical Center as well.

Common conditions she treats include gestational diabetes, hypertension, preeclampsia and multiple gestations such as twins or triplets. Morgan also provides treatment plans if patients have underlying health conditions that can affect pregnancies like heart disease or autoimmune disorders.

Morgan grew up in Marshfield. She volunteered with Marshfield Clinic and later worked as a medical assistant and certified nursing assistant. “Marshfield is my home, and I am excited to continue serving the community as a provider,” she said.
