Senior Thorp FCCLA Officers Attend Capitol Leadership Conference

Last week, senior Thorp FCCLA officers Samantha, Preslee, and Emily had the opportunity to attend the Capitol Leadership Conference down in Madison.

They spent the first day in their legislative group with students from Prairie Farm and Barron high schools. They worked to create a message to take to their state senator and respective state representatives all about the importance of FCCLA.

The next day was spent in the capitol. They started their day meeting Governor Evers. From there, they went to multiple meetings where they had the opportunity to meet the staffers of their various senators and representatives and bring their prepared message to them.

After their meetings, all the schools came back together for a rally in the rotunda of the capitol and president Samantha was able to give a quick presentation about the great things that the Thorp FCCLA chapter has been doing this year.
