Clark County Man Facing Charges of Child Sexual Assault

(WAOW Staff, WAOW) A Clark County man faces a serious charge related to allegations from over a decade ago.

According to WAOW staff, Ryan Wucherpfennig, 32, has been arrested and charged with felony first-degree child sex assault involving a person under age 13. According to the criminal complaint, a female victim reported to police that Wucherpfennig sexually assaulted her in 2009 when he was 17 and she was 7 or 8.

The incident allegedly took place at a home in Clark County. Police conducted separate interviews with both the victim and Wucherpfennig in 2019 and 2020. Despite these interviews, the complaint was not filed until Thursday, January 29, 2026.

The reason for the delay in the investigation and filing of charges remains unclear. Wucherpfennig is scheduled to make his initial court appearance on March 11.
